A village accomodates all, and the deaf Bangaramma

Savudu (deaf) Bangaaramma's house - Mud walls, thatch roof, bamboo attic, painted with red mud, floor mopped and patterned with cowdung, with muggus (rangolis) to bewitch the mind . A one roomed structure comfortably accommodates four adults and three children.

Putting clothes and offerings before the god as part of the offerings to ancestors on Sankranthi.

Savudu Bangaramma is stone deaf. But she engages equally with all people as they speak slowly and softly and she lip reads most effectively. A village incorporates all deviations most naturally and casually. To me, from a city, everything was a revelation.
