Still dont believe, google Claudio Alvares or youtube.. do your own research on the so called White revolution and green revolution. Google about rockefeller foundation and how Indian agriculture is completely dependent on the western companies for seeds..
Coming to native come vs jersy cow USA don't have Indian cow so first of all they won't involve in such comparison, they will drink whatever available for them. Maybe for that climate they can sustain with A1 milk. For Indian climate (say all tropic region) only native cows can self sustain it will cost more to grow imported breed. Indian cows are draught animals its a gift for us considering the water scarcity.
@Palaniyappan: USFDA is regulated by Drug & Food Industry Mafia and not by research. Search google how many drug companies are sued by patients for selling approved drugs because they killed people precisely from Prescription.

Referring to "In 2011, a pure Gir Cow (an Indian breed) in brazil, delivered 10,230 kilolitres of milk a year, with a daily yield of 56.17 kilolitres."
Calculation is not wrong.
38 x 270 = 10260.
Even if a cow gives an average of 38 liters per day, in 9 months it crosses 10230 liters.
A pure Gir cow named as Hiral in jasdan Gujarat has managed to produce 8000 plus liters of milk in single lactation.

These bulls are priced possession of the farmers(Owners) they care their bulls better than you do of your kids.
If you can't phathom why Jallikattu is so important to us try thinking why anyone should celebrate Diwali or Holi since it is polluting the air, water and soil.
Dumbo, the videos you see is not the Normal. There are hundreds of events that take place. PETA manipulated 2 minutes and shw it as cruelty. We all agree this should not be done and arrest the people who do this. Why ban the entire event because some people did it wrong?
By that way, nothing works in this country. politicians are corrupt, so lets ban politics. some judges are corrupt, so lets ban courts themselves.
Have you ever seen a Jallikattu in person or talked to anyone who raises a bull?
Do you have any reasoning why PETA does not care about the Kerala Livestock Improvement Act of 1961, which mandates that all pure native bull breeds, even when are endemic, have to be castrated once they reach an age?
And to the person who asks "Why can't humans take the role of the bulls!" - Can you take the role of a bull while in Kerala? I guess you have obtained the right age.

Cows milk is for baby cow...end of the story !!! Stop stealing it...
Milk and milk products are cause of 100s of diseases..including Cancer, heart attacks and diabetes...!!
Do some research !!
Cow slaughter is fine , but traditional fight is not!
PETA wake up or your ford foundation agenda of double standards will be wiped out by conscious indians...
If the cow is not milked on time, the milk builds up in the udder causing painful pressure. Eventually, this would lead to an infection of the udder, called mastitis, which can kill the cow.
It took more than 30 years for Colgate to realize salt and charcoal along with Neem makes best dental cleaning solution, when they had came they were running ads which were insulting people who were using charcoal or Neem stick to brush and eventually made several Indian good brands close down.
Same with milk, if it was the reason for bad health how come from last 1000 years Indians were not dyeing because of your so called more than 100 diseases.
Why does irrespective of so much "healthy" food and health institutions in this century we have more diseases than before?
Simple answer is, older people were living with nature not altering it's characteristics. Also keeping their diet and practices suitable to their environment and not blindly having something which was thrown on them from someone else (Govt/MNC/etc)
Forget about all those at least shouldn't we try to keep our tradition alive, we Indians keep adopting ourselves with situation, rather banning it can't we think aboit having safe/non-cruel form of this tradition?
"People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is an organization that publicly claims to represent the best interest of animals -- indeed their "ethical treatment." Yet approximately 2,000 animals pass through PETA's front door every year and very few make it out alive. The vast majority -- 96 percent in 2011 -- exit the facility out the back door after they have been killed, when Pet Cremation Services of Tidewater stops by on their regular visits to pick up their remains. Between these visits, the bodies are stored in the giant walk-in freezer PETA installed for this very purpose. It is a freezer that cost $9,370 and, like the company which incinerates the bodies of PETA's victims, was paid for with the donations of animal lovers who could never have imagined that the money they donated to help animals would be used to end their lives instead. In fact, in the last 11 years, PETA has killed 29,426 dogs, cats, rabbits, and other domestic animals."

BTW, why is it OK in the law to castrate bulls and not OK to do jallikattu? How is it ok to kill thousands of cows and there is no ban but when it comes to Jallikattu, there is immediate ban? Cant it be improved even if there are something wrong? is this country banning everything that is wrong?
Are these also 'compassion' ?

"The writer also doesn't want to mention about thousands of cattle breeders in Tamil Nadu who send bulls and cows for slaughtering"
First you deprieve the native dairy cow farmers of resources, ban festivals like Jallikattu by citing few manipulated videos, then when the cows are sent for slaughter, you make the same point.
The question is: Why is slaughter not banned when Jallikattu is? Which morality accepts slaughtering but not Jallikattu where there is no cruelty?
Also, the 'Vegan' idiots should keep their ideology to themselves. If man did not domesticate animals like cow and the bull, there will not be any vegetables today in such a scale. Organic farming also needs the animal ecosystem which you are trying to destroy by banning social events like Jallikattu.

But the poor bull will need a cow for his good, isn't it to prove himself...
What good is Jallikattu doing for him?
Useless , worthless propaganda..
& please.. Mr/Ms author.. where did U get this autism & parkinson's part of the story?
Could i get some authentic sources please.
Autism is more of a socio-psycological disorder rather than a deficiency disease.
And FYI, the bull is free to roam and eat for all the 364 days. These bulls are stud bulls which are in mix with numerous cows for the whole year. Some bulls even mate with 30-40 cows in the whole year.. do you get it?
Jallikattu is just a 1 day event and the bull runs for 20 seconds in the lane. 20 seconds.. ok? then the bull is back to the home and is again free to roam and eat. they are neither killed nor tortured..

Killing of cats/ dogs in 2013 is entirely a different subject and some reason of euthanasia is to take away the massive pain they were undergoing.. It's a universal approach to actually take away their pain at the end of tunnel. Please don't mix things up and confuse the lay man.
Admin: Request you to erase incorrect data and don't play with common man's emotion.
Bulls are trained, just like they are trained for ploughing and carts. Its those western minded colonial idiots who think its cruel sipping their milk without knowing how it comes to them.. all the propaganda is slowly coming out.. you people will be exposed..

There is a reason why India is not in the list as per above link. We have already lost so much of our traditions and cultures as Indians, and I we not lose what is left behind for us.
Today's action is reflected in tomorrow. Tomorrow is nothing but out next generation. Lets try making it a better place for them, and let us not forget or lose our traditions and culture by any cost.
Save India..

One small saving grace is that this current BJP government is at least directly or indirectly showing that cow is important for this country. Of course, the selfish and idiotic opposition is politicising it and hoodwinking the general public again. It WILL stop. Only a question of time.
You and peta are manipulating and will not listen even to truth.
You are fucking plants and meat eaters are fucking animals you bastard

Ban it. Bang!!! Bang!!!
very good article. Tearing the faces of westerner politics and PETA especially. Thank you for sharing the detailed information. A small correction to your information is that the PETA kills almost 90% of the animals in the custody. On an average, PETA kills 7 animals per day. There are more protesters against PETA in US also. The worst part they are also using the animals for some medical treatments and finally killing the same after experiment. The killing rate of animals in PETA is almost 85%. But the explanation they give for that killing of animals is due to over sickness and disease. Here I will be providing some youtube links for details (must watch):

This was done to ensure the availability of bulls in an even manner throughout the state so that more breeding around the state can happen. I guess there is no point having all the sperm bank at one place leaving the rest of the state devoid of it.
The act was to ensure the growth of the cows in a controlled environment and not reduce it as suggested by the deceiving article above.
Please do a little check before relying upon such articles just because it is scientifically heavy.
The company marketing A2 milk claims that milk containing A1 proteins are harmful, but a 2009 European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) review of scientific literature found there was insufficient evidence to prove that bioactive peptides in A1 milk have a negative effect on health".
REF:"Review of the potential health impact of β-casomorphins and related peptides".
But one thing is right A2milk of Indian bread is good but A1 is not less than this not a harmful as of till today's research
BUT SOME THING IS THERE CORPORATE USES MEDIA & EVEN RESEARCH SCIENTIST , INSTITUTION TO MAKE A CONSPIRACY & FOOLS PUBLIC.
Sooner of later, someone from the West will come and convince us. Till that time the cost of A2 type milk will be 3 times A1 type milk... similar to what is happening today with organically grown vegetables/ fruits. Common man will not be able to afford it. We must act NOW.

In one of the comments it is well supported by a good evidence that those who are spreading PETA killing is by a front end which is supported by KFC and others who have reason to oppose PETA?
Can some one reason out what will PETA gain by opposing Jallikattu?
Now link the chain.. European union-world bank- and again funded by world food programme -headed by ppl with affiliated corporate background... now link up the chain... for ppl who don't understand the politics behind this, read "confessions of an economic hitman" on how so called policy reports are generated and fabricated..
Chk the respective wiki links for more details..
In 2002, a US patent was issued to a group of Indian scientists from Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). It was an antibiotic and cow urine distillate mixture. The cow urine was claimed to be serving as a bioenhancer, enhancing anti-microbial activity of antibiotic and antifungal agents.
In 2010, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh-funded Go-vigyan Anusandhan Kendra in Deolapar and National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI) acquired an US patent on a gomutra-based drug. They claimed that the patent validates that gomutra has anti-cancer properties. The patent was for a gomutra-based mixture that claimed to prevent oxidative damage to DNA.
At least it will reach some people, they will understand "What and Who We were!!"
Thanks again
