In the Gangamma festival yesterday, boys dressing as girls is commonplace. They go from home to home affording much fun and merriment. Gifts of money are pinned onto them.

In our festivals many many spaces get incorporated with ease and comfort. Without a need for a loud show of protest and noise.

Pushwant comes home.
To discuss his attire with me.
On this day, all Veshalu or attires are worn.
Pushwant is going to dress as a girl, flowers, anklets, earrings, a gown. He loves jewelry. He has told me that I have to give him money when he comes home attired.
"what will you do with that money ? "
" I will buy more jewelry. "
Rani, his mother, always wanted a daughter. She has 3 boys. She's enjoying this as fully as he.
