One of the women of the team PaalaGuttaPalle Bags. Went complaining about the others to another neighbour. Yesterday.
Some baseless grieviences.
The other women of the team have bent backwards to adjust to her, given her difficulties, extreme even by the village standards.
Repairing her wrong stitches, adjusting to her health issues, doing her work for her.
And now the group had a hour long impassioned discussion with her. Voices ran high. She was told in clear terms how much they have helped her, adjusted. And how with all this they simply will not want to anymore.
Eashwaramma came in. Hearing raised voices. To help mediate. Advising compassion to others. And speaking firmly to her to be aware if the adjustments everyone is making for her.
And then work restarted. The deadline of today's shipping had to be met.
At the end if the day, they all parted friends as always. With a reminder to her that any differences should be settled in their room, among themselves.
Today, yesterday's issue was not referred to, and all was well.
As Buji said, "We all understand her situation. Daya daakshinyam is mist important."
Each day I learn so many lessons from them. Of wisdom, of sense, of kindness, of adjustment.
For 9 women to walk together for 4 years building up an enterprise like #PaalaGuttaPalleBags, with no NGO, no external support is no small achievement.
Growing from strength to strength based only on their commitment and integrity and hard work.
Growing together.
