Cloth bags can put the power back to people
Paalaguttapalle started the cloth bag journey close to three years back. Thanks to the sheer determination of the women, support of the volunteers and the unstoppable village women

Though a bag might look easy to make, the logistics involved in sourcing fabric, learning and perfecting screen printing, reaching production efficiency and marketing them is a tough job like in any other business. Imagine doing all these from a remote village and no prior business experience. Perfecting all these things without compromising on the 'purpose of the business- people and sustainable livelihood' is a challenge not all could go through easily. They are now also receiving an award from Vikatan groups (very famous publishing & media house in TN).Their consistent efforts and success today is a benchmark for all those who want to start a #socialenterprise.

please do not assume that they are filled with orders. The team needs loads of orders to sustain. There were many days where they were waiting for a good soul to order bags from them.
