The entitlement of 'premier institutions'

This is about our wonderful, over admired 'premier institutes'
Komakkambedu Himakiran
... If you compare the number of students from State Govt. run institutes who leave the state or country to their peers in Central institutes, you will understand why we fight so hard against NEET!
Just take AIIMS vs MMC
Aparna Krishnan
The 'higher' in eliteness the institute, the more disconnected, and the more utterly irresponsible. And essentially a waste of the countrys frugal resources - maintaining them.
Komakkambedu Himakiran
the knockout punch is the last line..
"Among those who have stayed back, 404 students (about two thirds) are working in Delhi. More than 71 per cent are working in other metro cities"
this is the breakdown
611 out of 1477 stayed back (41%)
404 out of that 611 are working in Delhi(66%)
More than 71% of the 611 work in Metros.
that leaves 207 to work in rest of India. If you count the ones serving in rural India and that too in Govt hospitals, you will get a heart attack!
AIIMS alumni prefer going abroad, says study
And since you are not in Delhi..you won't have an AIIMS doctor treating you...

If a young corporate empoyee resigns and moves to a village it is admired. More than if a simpler person with a simpler job did.
The corporate retiree has many doors open were he to wish to earn somehow. The simpler person burns the only boat he has. Without a thought.
Yet we will only admire our own !!
