Laws and Power Games

25 April 2017 at 14:46 ·
The poor woman stole a pair of silver anklets. Crime.
The rich houselady was wearing a 10,000/- dress, while the maid did not have money to redeem her medical debts. Lawful.
Who writes the laws ?
Archana Prasad, Jataayu B'luru and 4 others

  • Law is always written by the one in power to tighten his grip on power further but in a scheming and seeming way as though he is trying to distribute it to those who have none but in the process tightens his own grip on those people who have no or negligible power

    • Whatever we the privileged do will be coloured by our interests. The poor need to have control on their share of the country and its resources, and only then will justice begin.

this is very true . I was in a very representative honey society and while I was negotiating on price everyone was willing to adhere to my price while the tribal resoerentatuve alone was asking fifty percent more. It really got me irritated but also reflective as to how stakes are different when there is true representation and how we or I abhor it

    • yes, deep down we all cling to power. thats the game of power. They need to clain their own stakes. And all power has to be diluted/ decentralized.
