RTE

RTE
A few poor children are given admission into fancy schools. Where the rich children ook down on them.
If instead the rich children are made to move into the schools poor children are in, then we will see the social changes we speak of !
But that will need that each of us owns up change in our own lives.
Sunny Pawar That's impossible
Aparna Krishnan 🙂
Aparna Krishnan why ?
Sunny Pawar No rich child will go to poor school... In fact their parents are desperate to send them to a more elite institution....
Aparna Krishnan why 🙂 ?
Sunny Pawar Such is the trend I hv seen, I may be wrong
Aparna Krishnan You are right 🙂. The question is why ?
Balasubramaniam Muthusamy aparna - be happy that someone atleast thought about a legal entilement. In the present political scenario - you can't even think about it
Aparna Krishnan Entitlement to what ?!! For a few poor, by lottery, to enter the privileged spaces of the rich, and feel poorer ! Its not a great deal. We can do much better.
Balasubramaniam Muthusamy aparna - you try speaking that language to the new political dispensation. all this is a power game and needs to be fought is a grim reality. During UPA time, the economists and other important people created these options. not sure if such policies will be looked at in the near future
Aparna Krishnan yes. its not just the political dispension. its us. how many rich people will be willing to place their children in the same schools as the poor. i address us.
Aparna Krishnan if we reform, the dispension will !
Balasubramaniam Muthusamy i agree. But that is big IF
Aparna Krishnan If and only if.
Davia Mason That idealistic approach can backfire.
Aparna Krishnan The ideal has to be accepted. Then one works in the greys of here and now.

Just as 25% seats in fancy schools are kept for poor children and given by lots ...
25% seats in government schools should be kept for rich children - and also given by lots !!
The expressions on the faces of the two sets can be imagined. And that is the tragedy of this country.

Daughter, "Under Right to Education, why not put rich children in government schools, instead of poor children in Elite schools."
It is actually the answer. To many many problems. Of this land.

Why not close looters govt school and put everyone in private school. Govt spends many thousand crores every year and not even 100 students went to medicine. 70 years of looting public money.

Paranthaman Sriramulu That money should have been spent in improve Government schools. Private schools is temporary solution. Government school is permanent solution. Under RTE only 25 percent student can join in a private school. But any student can study in a Government School.

Kids of IPS, IAS and other "elite" government verticals should go to government schools. We will then see a sudden improvement in quality. Today their kids go to the best private schools. In Delhi they have gone further, by creating a super super elite school only for kids of top bureacrats and politicians...

Shakira Banu 70+ years enough money has been spent. It is only deteriorating. If govt schools and looters are scrapped. Same money can be used to fund all students freely in private, trust schools.
Rs 40000 crores is allocated for students this year. Under RTE it is 305 crores. See the mismatch. Govt is spending around 1 lakh per student average every year. Even the best private schools dont charge that much money per year.
Only 30 or 40% money is spent for education. Rest all goes to govt looters. From waste teachers to inferior dresses, books, shoes, bags, cycles, tables, fans, toilets. Toilet cleanliness will tell the entire story of govt looting in few words.

Paranthaman Sriramulu from where did you get this data? I am sure the data is wrong

Manohar Kamath in so called communist, socialist countries they tried equality and it failed miserably. Communist leaders dynasty were studying in abroad and others in poor schools. If you closely watch all equality dramatists actions, most of their kids will be in private school or abroad.
Instead give the poor, the same education others get. It will be cheaper.
Let govt reserve 40% seats in all private education to poor and pay their fees. It should be real poor. In india, for freebies everyone turns into beggars suddenly.

Paranthaman Sriramulu From 9th to 12 the student will not come under rte
      No private school in villages
25 percent of students are not utilized properly and students were forced to pay for rte.
Even if get student is qualifed from a poor background can't join in rte from 2nd standard as it starts from lkg or 1st standard depending upon the school class which starts
      So many cheating is happening
      Rte students are mistreated
While fees and everything is free in. Government School but in private schools they are asking more money for uniform books etc
