FB Discussions - Vegetarianism's Halo in an Over Consuming World !

Animal sacrifice is seen as deeply regressive. Do those who eat meat also think so ? Or is it just the vegetarians.
The village people simply offer to their gods the food they eat - some meat and some sweets. It is logical.

Aparna Krishnan Do you possess a car ? Or a scooter ? Do you have an AC at home or work ? Do you contribute to global warming which wipes out whole vegetations and animals ? Do you sacrifice those animals to your own physical conforts ? If you do - then kindly address that which is in your hands before sitting as judge and jury on those who have a carbon footprint far far lower than yours. Thank you.

Balasubramaniam Muthusamy Aparna Krishnan this is the kind of truth many of us do not realise. We high end consumers look at a local abettoir with so much of disdain - at the same time happily drive our salons into malls and buy sausages and vegetables kept in controlled climate - we use huge amount of plastic bags which are then thrown to dustbin making the entire process to go through a painful recycling mode.A mall going, hifi vegetarian's carbon footprints will be 100 times more than a farmer is the reality.

దామోదర రెడ్డి when here uncontrolled, and cruel torture in closed rooms from their birth is fashion, and making processed meat a business item, where these all stupid idiots gone? It is very fundamental , and natural way in villages.. they never suffer those closed room cruelties... those animals, birds live happily , from their birth, like enjoying their mother's care under her wings, or tongue, and enjoying wandering in nature with peers, eating , grazing in open fields, places.. No cruelty at all. And it is controlled, they have to be slaughtered in one shot.. these rituals actually there for controlling, limiting, uncontrolled desires of meat eating,, and reduces these all modern psychological cruelty on them from birth.

Aparna Krishnan I've lived in a village for 20 years. Seen myself and my false notions closely, and seen some realities head on. Where do i sound 'radical' ? And where otherwise ??
