#PaalaGuttaPalleFamily, a post a day - Khatija Rehman

A friend request, a meeting over a simple meal. A commitment over a shared concern.
Khatija walked the mile with the women. And Roopa and the others have their own speacial bond with her.
Spending long days at the Buva House exhibition which she helped get space in.
Spending long hours at the table where the women distributed the momentoes at the wedding.

Helping with every backstage detail. Of posters and banners.

The village has got the best of people together into its fold.

Once when I told Khatija, "I may not be able to be there. Anyway Turiya will be there as your assiatnt."
Khatija, "Turiya and I are assistants to Roopa Akka and Rani akka."
And that is the central understanding that the Palaguttapalle family is knitted together on.

Another day.
Khatija, "We need to change the poster a little ma'am. Write about the village, the women. Apart from about the bags."
That was a very important point. There are NGOs which work with villages. And make bags, maybe more beautiful bags also.
But here, its a group of women, who on their own strength completely, have taken on the unforgiving deal that fate offered them. No NGO, no state, no loans. Behind them.
