PaalaGuttaPalle is a small village in Andhra Pradesh. The village was struck by drought a few years ago, affecting the life and living of every body in the village.
A group of the village women got together to find a solution.
Supported by a team of volunteers from Chennai, the ladies have begun stitching bags, recreating traditional pickles.
Mind you, to not just survive. But to live, to laugh, to love ... with dignity, respect and joy.
They make these Veggie bags I feature in the video, and also laptop bags, custom designed bags ... The traditional pickles - I got to taste a mango pickle a few days ago - are guaranteed lip smacking YUMM!
