The first school after Paalaguttapalle ...

Now 5 years, without a break, the children of Varadappanaidupeta have been having milk. A generation of small children have grown into health.

Paalaguttapalle (Dalitwada) - Milk programme spreads.

Our panchayat of seven settlements has two schools. One is in Dalitwada and one is in Varadappanaidupeta, the Reddy settlement. The teacher from the latter school is currently on deputation to our village, as our teacher had retired.

Seeing the good health of our village children, thanks to the daily milk-ashwagandhadhi programme, he asked us if we could start that in his school. He said the children there are largely from the Vadder (stone breaker) community and very poor. That they keep falling ill.

So Varalu and I went there in the afternoon. Saar took me on his mototcycle, and Varalu set out a little earlier to also reach at the same time. On the way we overtook her as she was lost in collecting balasa fruits on the wayside with Sasi who had accompanied her !!

At the school the teacher of that single teacher school sat us down, and we firmed up to start work.
