Education is vaster than learning (1)...

My daughter's sanskrit class ends with this prayer.

The prayer is
Sarve bhavantu sukhinaha (May all be contented)
Sarve santu niraamayaaha (May all be in good health)
Sarve bhadraani pashyantu (May all see auspiciousness)
Maa kaschit dukha bhagbhavet (May none face sorrow)

If every class in every school ended with such a prayer, it would give a context to the learning ... as part of a yagna for a greater good. and these practices over time, like mantras, enter the subconcsious. Learning as a vehicle for self promotion stands questioned.

why did we educated indians become so apolegetic about our heritage ?
