Village vignettes - brinjal generosity

Mirror mirror on the wall.
I have been humbled again and again and again. If this was the only plant in my home, a small brinjal shrub, and I did not have money to buy vegetables in the santa for my children, would I give away the 10 small brinjals on the plant to a neighbour. I would not.
Eashwaramma, without a thought pressed about ten brinjals on me from this shrub.
Over years I have learn to accept an infinite generosity in humility - as it plays out again and again in Indian villages.
