Village vignettes - dawn at home.

Dawn, home, kolam at the doorstep, fire in the fireplace, water heating for the morning bath.

Same at every home down the three streets of the village. And some hens crowing, and cows mooing. Men off to the fields to collect grass for the cows. Women will follow after attending to home chores.
