Musings (2) - Class biases

Why is it when a upper class person cycles, upper class people   find it 'inspiring' ? What about all the more economically humble people who cycle all the time ?
The logic is given by the uppwr class that the upper class person had a choice to buy a car and didnt.

Because the choice is there, and humans are falliable, the upper class cycling person, despite all, will have a far far greater carbon footprint than the more ordinary people. And yet the upper class looks to him/her for inspiration.

The inspiration is in  the farmer in his mud house, the watchman cycling to work daily, the garbage picker who saves all the plastic cover than the rich throw and gets it recycled. They are the real inspirations. If only we choose to see.
