Deepshika ordered bags from the women in Palaguttapalle. The next thing they knew
was that the postman from Vallivedu had called them saying that they
had a parcel for them, addressed to Anita and Annapurna. They went to
the PO, 4 km away, collected it and brought it home. They found four
beautiful sarees in them, cotton baatik sarees !
They were thrilled, and proud that a customer had sent them a gift in return ! The sarees had thoughtful notes pinned onto each of them, with names also mentioned. Anita told me, "Madam, this is first time I have possessed a cotton saree."
This is the nature of engagement that validates much more than economic gain. It nurtures giver and receiver into deeper worth.
