'Schooling for all' has created a generation of misfits in our village ... unfit for
village occupations, and unfit for the white collar employment they have been
taught to desire.
Schooling has to be based on the livlihoods we envision for the people, which is itself based on the society we desire to see. Without that basis, 'schooling
for all' is a 'death knell for all'.
The utter generosity of the poor humbles us. They give rice to every mendicant even when their rice is getting over. That is what they are defined by.
