Hazaar khwaishein aise ki har khwaish pe dum nikla ...

"Hazaar khwaishein aise ki har khwaish pe dum nikla ...
Bahot nikle mere armaan lekin fir bhee kam nikle"

("A thousand wishes ... each worthy of dying for.
Many, many wishes ... and yet not enough ...")

Kavya and Sasi, Eashwaramma's grandchildren. Father killed. Abandoned by mother. Dependent on eashwaramma - poor and ill, wise and wonderful ...

She cannot give them much of comforts, or even food maybe. But she gives them values worth far more than all that the things she cannot give. They have seen her give away a glass of rice to every mendicant who asks, even when the rice at home is dwindling. What greater inheritance can a child wish for ?

Sasi will pluck and give away the only guava in their tree. Kavya will give away the only garlic pod at home ...

To these children, and to thousands such are we answerable ... each one of us ...
