Even just because one has purchased a new pot in summer. Neighbours come with a small vessel asking for 'kotha kadava neelu', because water from a new pot smells of mud and tastes like heaven.
The utter generosity of the poor humbles us. They give rice to every mendicant even when their rice is getting over. That is what they are defined by.

A village is a blessed place because it gives the chance to serve. And help.
