Waiting endlessly for the rare village bus at the busstop. Sometimes the wait can really be forever. With Eashwaramma.

We had gone to Ravanaiahgaripalle to meet Boobamma, the Muslim woman who traditionally dispenses native medicines for children.

Till some years back she used to do rounds of villages. But times have changed. Younger parents are schooled, and have learnt that allopathy is best. She works as an ayah in a local school and gives medicines patients to those who approach her.

The local health practitioners treat this dispensing as a dharmam or a duty.
