If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss ...
Kipling.
Rediappa, Paalaguttapalle (Dalitwada). has a small peice of land. He sunk a bore with 40,000/- borrowed money. We were all watching with hearts in our mouth, waiting and hoping for water to gush out. The tension was in the air, and each person shared it. Water did not come. The money was risked and lost. The loan would have to be paid back slowly and painfully.
Rediappa then bought 4 sheep and started grazeing them, and now after a year has 20 heads of sheep.
