Malleshwaram konda under the shadow of which all our villages live. Our village tank is Malleshwaram cheruvu. The temple of Malleashwara, the god of the hills, Shiva, is atop this hill, and is a lovely walk.
On Sivaratri everyone goes up there to the temple, a 6km walk to the base of the hill, and then a steep walk up. The night is spent there among songs and drama.
Village people live under these vast skies, and their hearts also become vast..
